Lesson Policies

Payment & Scheduling:
-
Monthly fee covers four lessons per month; 5th lessons balance against holiday closures if not used for lesson.

Auto-billed via Square on the 1st of each month (other arrangements on case by case basis and must be approved in advance) a card on file is required.

Pro-rated billing applies for mid-month enrollment or disenrollment.

Cash payments are rare and subject to approval.

Cancellations & Rescheduling:
-
24-hour notice required for lesson reschedules.
-
No reschedules for no-call/no-show absences or holiday closures.
-
Emergency/weather-related closures will be rescheduled as are teacher illness related absences and prearranged absences.

Disenrollment Notice:
-
30-day (4-lesson) notice required to cancel lessons or band enrollment.

Unused lessons during the notice period can be donated to students in need or banked if disenrollment is temporary.

Band Program Policies
-
Commitment:
-
Enrollment continues season to season unless a notice is provided.
-
Requires student commitment for entire session as the band is a team and the mission is a big concert at the end of the season. Midseason withdrawals may incur additional fees.

Rehearsals:

Missed rehearsals cannot be rescheduled.

Respect:
-
​Respect for Other Band members is required without regard to their race, gender, gender identity, religion, nationality or other characteristics. Furthermore, everyone was a beginner once, you will be a better musician by being a teacher, motivator and assisting those less skilled than you are in a positive and reinforcing way.

Respect the common areas of the school by cleaning up after yourself and notifying staff if a problem is noticed.

Bullying, harassing or threatening other students (both on and off campus) verbally, in writing or on social media is not permitted and is cause for ejectment from the band program. False reports of bullying and harassment are forms of bullying and harassment.

Card & Billing

A card must remain on file. Removing it pauses lessons until updated and will incur additional charges.

Auto-charges occur on the 1st of each month. Declined payments incur a $10 late fee if unresolved after 7 days.

Lessons are paused if unresolved by the 7th day, and missed lessons are forfeited.
Ad Hoc Lessons

Paid in advance; no refunds. Rates are higher for non-enrolled students.
Facility & Conduct Policies

Equipment Responsibility:
-
Students are responsible for damage to school property and property of other students or equipment caused by negligence.

Behavior Expectations:
-
Zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior toward staff, students, or property. Zero tolerance for drug use or consumption of alcohol by persons under 21. Consumption of alcohol by persons over 21 should also not occur at our facility during regular lesson and band rehearsals times except in the case of rental events, private parties or concerts where permit is obtained.

Parking & Supervision:

No parking in the handicap spot unless permitted. This includes when you are sitting in your vehicle.

Children who are not actively taking a lesson or in rehearsal must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Lesson Privacy:
-
Please avoid interrupting or peering into lesson rooms (except for your own child) during sessions.

Acknowledgments
-
Schedules, casting, and events are subject to change due to industry demands, weather and other events outside of our control.
